Volleyball Aigles Bleues to Host Tigers, Saturday
The Aigles Bleues are assured fifth place in the final standings, and are out of the playoffs. The Tigers only have one loss this season. They have won 57 sets, and lost only 7, in 18 games. The young Moncton team has won 22 sets, and lost 49, in 19 games.
“We are going to do our best against this team,” stated Moncton coach, Monette Boudreau-Carroll. “We have nothing to lose. We are getting ready for next season. We are slowly gelling as a team, and the players are getting to know better their role on the court. Our aim is to finish this season on the right foot to reinforce our motivation for next September. We have had good games against Acadia this season, and it will not be different.”
“The team wants to end the season with a good game,” added third year mid player, Émilie Landry. “We had our ups and downs this season, but I know we can play Dalhousie. We will put in play the strategies learned in practice. The players are feeling good about their role on the team.”
Fourth season player, Christel Bertin of Beresford, will receive her jersey in a ceremony prior to the game. Jessie Robichaud will miss the game because of an injury.
