15 U de M athletes at annual Last Chance Meet
Université de Moncton will be represented by 15 athletes at the annual Last Chance Track and Field Meet to be held this weekend at the Vance-Toner indoor stadium of the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud, on the Moncton campus.Coach Steve LeBlanc is looking forward to this first meet to evaluate his athletes following more than three months of training.
The Aigles Bleues competing are Myriam Cyr (1000 m), Laurence Guitard (1000 m), Émilie Guthrie (1000 m), Monika LeBlanc (300 m, lj), Jessika LePage (sp), Isabelle Morris (60 mh, hj), Lisa Richard (200 m, 300 m) and December Sampson (300 m, 600 m).
The Aigles Bleus competing are Youssef Abboud (60 m, 200 m), Rémy Goguen (60 m, 200 m), Christian Haché (600 m, 1000 m), Christian Richard (60 m, 200 m), Samuel Robichaud (60 m, 200 m), Bryan Thomas (1000 m, 1500 m) and Emmanuel Zangio (300 m).
Competitions begin on Saturday at 9 a.m. with the last races at 4:30 p.m. in various age categories, from atoms to masters. There will be a few events on Sunday morning between 9 a.m. and noon.
