Catherine Dupuis and Miguel Bryar are U de M athletes of the week

Soccer players Catherine Dupuis, of St-Mathias, Quebec and Miguel Bryar, of Madran, New Brunswick, have been chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period of October 16 to 22, 2017 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Rookie striker Catherine Dupuis scored three goals and added an assist in her team’s two games of the last week. She had a goal and two shots on goal during the Friday loss to the Varsity Reds. She added two important goals on Sunday and an assist plus ten shots, including four on goal, in the Sunday win over the Huskies. She is a bachelor of Sport, Recreation and Tourism administration student.

Veteran striker Miguel Bryar concludes his university career this season and scored the lone winning goal in his team’s 1-0 win over the Huskies, in the second half on Sunday. He also had three shots on goal and was named Subway player of the game. He is a bachelor of kinesiology student.
