Katherine Dubuc and Pierre Durepos are named athletes of the week

Hockey players Katherine Dubuc, of Victoriaville, Québec, and Pierre Dureopos, of Shediac, have been chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period of January 16 to 22, 2017 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Playing at centre, Katherine Dubuc collected a pass in her team’s 2-1 loss on Saturday, reducing the lead in half in the third period. She took 4 shots on goal and was +1. She won 6 of 11 faceoffs. She is a physical education student (teaching).

Defencemen Pierre Durepos played two good games during the week in his team’s two losses. He scored two power play goals on Wednesday in the game against the Dalhousie Tigers. He took 4 shots on goal and was +1. He is a business administration student (finances).
