Varcon Inc. is a structural engineering firm specializing in the provision of consulting and engineering services to the telecommunications and broadcast industries (ie. Tower Engineering). We are recruiting structural engineering grads for career opportunities at our branch offices.


Obtain valuable structural engineering experience and exposure to the dynamic and fast paced telecommunications and broadcast industries.

Training & Development (First Aid, Tower Climbing, Tower Rescue, RF Safety, etc.)

Complete training for tower climbing, tower rescue and first aid
Assist with completing office and field engineering assignments in a diligent, timely, cost efficient manner:
Engineering Inspections of communication towers/sites (ie. Climbing)
Structural Mapping, Structural Analysis & Structural Design
Engineering reports (Inspection, analysis, etc.)
Completion of internal forms and documents (Time sheets, Expense Claims, Incident Reports, etc.)
Maintenance and upkeep of inspection kit & safety equipment

Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized institution (B.Eng.)(Minimum)
Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
Competency with AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
Must demonstrate Positive Attitude, High Energy, Attention to Detail and Technical Competency
Must be Self-Motivated, Diligent, Eager, Industrious, Quick Learner and Team Player
Knowledge of structural steel, communication towers and structural software is an asset (but not expected)
Ability to climb towers with mindfulness and attention to safety (ie. No fear of heights, physically fit, etc.)
Ability to travel extensively throughout Canada (sometimes for a couple days, sometimes for three weeks)
Ability to work outdoors and travel with a partner (share hotel room)
