Cross Country: Aigles in Fredericton on Saturday
The final cross country race before the Atlantic University Sport Championships takes place Saturday in Fredericton at 12 p.m. (women) and 1 p.m. (men).
The 8 km races will give coach Steve LeBlanc a better idea of his athletes' ability for the championships. It should be noted that Sophie Black of Dieppe finished the last competition in third place. She had missed practices due to injuries and came back strong. LeBlanc will be able to rely on several female and male athletes for these races.
For the women's race, the Aigles Bleues competing will be Sophie Black, Annie Clarke, Amélie Cormier, Gabrielle Côté, Mylène Durette, Hannah Levysshon, and Madalyn MacKinnon. On the men's side, there will be Yannick Dupuis, Félix Gautreau, Olivier Godin, Alain Lavoie, Pascal LeBlanc, and Julien Thibodeau.
The AUS championship will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 in the Halifax area.
