Adoption of Principles for Preparing the 2020-2021 Budget
The Board of Governors adopted guiding principles for preparing the 2020-2021 Budget following a presentation by management during the meeting. The presentation indicated major financial challenges ahead for fiscal 2020-2021.
“The Université has to find a judicious balance between funding its activities and the available sources of revenue,” indicated interim President and Vice-Chancellor, Jacques Paul Couturier. “Without a large increase in funding for post-secondary education from the government of New Brunswick, the Université may be forced to make difficult choices in its 2020-2021 budget.”
The 2020-2021 Budget will be presented at the April 2020 meeting of the Board of Governors.
