Aigles Bleues host Tigers Friday in second game of the playoffs
Tuesday evening in Halifax, the Tigers won the first battle 7-2 by scoring four times in the third period in the first game of the series. A loss on Friday means the Aigles Bleues playoffs adventure will be over.
“I need a better performance from my players compared to Tuesday evening,” Moncton coach Denis Ross said. “The players know what is expected and the importance of the game. Both teams work hard on the ice, and our strategy of getting out of our zone needs to work well. We held a good practice on Thursday, and went over our system of play. We need to apply it well because that made the difference on Tuesday. We have to revisit and take corrective measures.”
“We have to do the trivial things better on the ice, pay the price and get the puck out of our zone,” added second year defencemen, Julie Thériault. “We know what needs to be done. All the girls must work hard, give it their all, and concentrate on the game. Small slacks off moments on our part can make our structure crumble, and everything falls to pieces. With our back to the wall, we will be effective in our comeback, and I predict a third game Sunday in Halifax.”
Gabriel Forget will be in nets. A third game, if needed, will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. in Halifax.
