Volleyball Aigles Bleues to Play Two Home Games
Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (3-10=6 points, 5th position) still have a dim chance of advancing to the Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball championship tournament. The Monette Boudreau-Carroll coached team plays two weekend home games at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium. The Saint Mary’s University Huskies (9-4=18 points, 2nd position) will play Moncton Saturday at 4 p.m., then it will be the turn of the Acadia University Axewomen (8-4=16 points, 3rd position) Sunday at 2 p.m.
Moncton has seven games left in the regular schedule play, and is ten points behind fourth and final playoff spot held by Memorial University Sea-Hawks. The Aigles have lost their last four games.
“I expect much better games even if those two teams were winners last weekend against us,” stated Moncton coach, Monette Boudreau-Carroll. “We need to continue learning, and we will not abandon. We will play our games, and I know our fans will help us this weekend.”
The public is invited to the games and support the Aigles Bleues.
