Three U de M athletes in Victoria
Atlantic University Sport bronze medallist, Carol-Ann MacDonald, along with Kamylle Frenette and Bryan Thomas are the athletes taking part in these university championships with coach Jean-Marc Doiron. The women run 8 km, and the men 10 km.
“Our three runners are ready to face the top Canadian university runners,” said Moncton coach Jean-Marc Doiron. “For Kamylle and Bryan, it will be special as it will be their last university career race as Aigles Bleues and Aigles Bleus. Both are anxious and motivated, wanting to conclude their career on a high. As for Carol-Ann, who is in her third season, she will race the best in the country, and I want to push her limits. She needs to climb another notch in her career.”
“I am very excited to be going to Victoria,” said Carol-Ann MacDonald. “I know the race will be difficult, and it could be muddy with all the rain they received this week. I am not nervous yet, but I know it will come. I am very happy with my season, and I look forward to this last race. The training is done, I want to rest, be positive and live the experience. I want to finish the race knowing I left all my energy on the path.”
