Transparency in public
information
The Université de Moncton is
committed to the highest standards
of transparency in terms of public
information.
In accordance with the provisions of
the
New Brunswick Right to Information
and Protection of Privacy Act
, the
Université de Moncton is committed
to disclosing the number of senior
executives, administrative executives,
academic executives, librarians and
professors receiving a salary of more
than $75,000.
Launched in 2015, the
Vers
l’U de M 2020
micro-site, which
contains data, information and
projections for the coming year,
is updated regularly to provide its
visitors with the latest data.
To ensure a safe and healthy work
environment for all students and staff
at the Université de Moncton, complaint
management processes are now
published under the “U de M en bref”
tab on the Université’s website. This
easily accessible page contains a
great deal of useful information for
the university community.
Calls for tenders for goods with an
estimated value greater than $25,000,
services with an estimated value greater
than $50,000 and construction projects
with an estimated value greater than
$100,000 are now published under the
“U de M en bref” tab on the Université’s
website.
In addition, the
Consultations
website was created in 2016-2017.
It serves, among other things, as a
feedback mechanism for the academic
community and allows collaboration on
important issues. Over the course of
the 2016-2017 academic year, students,
faculty and employees of the Université
had the opportunity to express their
views and to suggest changes to issues
such as the academic planning report
and the policy on sexual harassment
and gender harassment.
National Aboriginal Day is celebrated
On the occasion of National Aboriginal Day, the flag of the Mi’kmaq First Nations was raised on the Moncton campus on June 21
in the presence of members of the academic community. Five representatives of the Aboriginal community carried out a
traditional singing performance during a special ceremony. At the Edmundston campus, National Aboriginal Day was marked
with the raising of the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation flag.
