Scholarship Fund in Memory of Antoine Gallant

A large portion of the proceeds from auctioning off Antoine Gallant’s private collection
of artwork will be used to create the Fonds de bourses Antoine-Gallant/FAÉUNB
scholarship fund. Mr. Gallant was a supporter of Visual Arts students at the Université
de Moncton during their annual auction, so this is a meaningful way to honor his
The monetary value of the fund will be $36,500 and the Bourse
scholarship will be granted to full-time students enrolled in
a Visual Arts program, whether Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed
immigrants), who have a good academic record.
A first $1000 scholarship will be awarded this semester.
Antoine Gallant, a devoted employee, was the Payroll Officer in the Université de
Moncton’s Finance Department from 1980 to 2017.
