Thanks to the generosity of Mr. Rhéal Luce, two new scholarship funds have been created: the Ernest-et-Évangéline-(Thériault)-Luce/FAÉUNB Scholarship Fund and the Rhéal-Luce/FAÉUNB Scholarship Fund.

The Ernest-et-Évangéline-(Thériault)-Luce/FAÉUNB Scholarship Fund was created by Mr. Luce in honour of the memory of his parents.

The Ernest-et-Évangéline-(Thériault)-Luce/FAÉUNB Scholarship will be offered to students enrolled full-time at Université de Moncton, Moncton Campus, in an undergraduate or graduate program with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Scholarship recipients must be from Gloucester County, New Brunswick at the time of the awarding of the scholarship.

The Rhéal-Luce/FAÉUNB Scholarship bears the name of Mr. Luce, who proudly holds two degrees from Université de Moncton, a Bachelor of Science degree (1973) and a Master of Science degree (1978).

The Rhéal-Luce/FAÉUNB Scholarship will be offered to students enrolled in the first year of a Master of Science program at the Université de Moncton Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Scholarship recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrants) and be living in New Brunswick at the time of the awarding of the scholarship.

These scholarships will provide young scientists of tomorrow with financial assistance. And this type of philanthropic gesture represents a significant contribution to enhancing the student experience.

Community engagement is very important to Mr. Rhéal Luce, who recognizes the importance of giving back to his community.
