Dr. Denis Prud'homme, President and Vice-Chancellor of the Université de Moncton, Elected Treasurer of ACUFC

Lynn Brouillette, President and CEO of the Association des collèges et universités de la francophonie canadienne (ACUFC), announces the appointment of Dr. Denis Prud'homme as Treasurer of the ACUFC.

“On behalf of the ACUFC and its board of directors, we are delighted to welcome Dr. Prud'homme to his new role for a two-year term,” said Brouillette. “We look forward to benefiting from his expertise in the governance of our association."

A professor, researcher and administrator, Dr. Prud'homme has over 30 years of experience in the university environment at Université Laval and the University of Ottawa and continues to practise sports medicine part-time. He holds a doctorate in medicine, a certificate in family medicine and a master's degree in human kinetics.

“It is an honour and a privilege for me to join such a dynamic and committed team working to improve access to post-secondary education in French. It is with great energy and pride that I accept the position of Treasurer of the ACUFC," said President and Vice-Chancellor of the Université de Moncton, Denis Prud'homme.

Dr. Prud'homme succeeds Lise Bourgeois, President of Collège La Cité, who served as co-chair and treasurer. The ACUFC would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her commitment as she completes her second term as treasurer.

About the ACUFC

The Association des collèges et universités de la francophonie canadienne (ACUFC) brings together 22 post-secondary institutions in a Francophone minority context. It aims to increase access to post-secondary education in French to establish a true continuum of education in French in Canada. The ACUFC also supports the initiatives of the Consortium national de formation en santé (CNFS), the Réseau national de formation en justice (RNFJ) and the Réseau de la recherche sur la francophonie canadienne (RRF).
