Julie LeBlanc named Director of hockey operations with the Aigles Bleues
Martine LeBlanc, Université de Moncton Athletic Director, is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie LeBlanc as part-time Director of hockey operations for the Aigles Bleues in Atlantic University Sport women's hockey.
Julie, a teacher at Mathieu-Martin School in Dieppe and former Aigles Bleues player, is happy to join the Aigles Bleues management team. Some of her responsibilities will involve recruiting and connecting with potential players and developing strategic plans for recruitment. She will also have to develop plans for a team culture and organize activities for the players.
In addition, she will ensure links with the community and women's groups in the region. Coordinating and organizing travel logistics and assisting with fundraising activities will also be part of her mandate.
“I am pleased that a former team captain has accepted this important challenge,” said Martine LeBlanc. “She played 5 years with the Aigles Bleues and was a leader. I am sure that she will continue to offer our team a framework that will promote the development of our players.”
Julie LeBlanc was the 2nd captain in the history of the team. She has already started her duties for the next season.
