The President and Vice-Chancellor of the Université de Moncton announces the appointment of Jeanne Farrah as Executive Director, Philanthropy and Alumni Relations. Farrah has served in this capacity on an interim basis since January 2022.

“We are delighted to officially welcome Ms. Farrah,” said President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Denis Prud'homme. “She has demonstrated that she is a seasoned professional in the fields of philanthropy and alumni relations. She will be able to continue the work she has begun and bring her experience to the benefit of the Université de Moncton.”

For over twelve years, she directed the Alumni Office and L'alUMni at Université de Moncton. She oversees the development of strategies and initiatives for alumni to maintain a sense of pride in their institution.

In April 2019, she became the interim director of the Université de Moncton's Evolution Campaign, which will conclude with the surpassing of its target of over $58 million.

Her career at her alma mater began in 2004 as a donor relations officer in the Excellence Campaign Office at the Université de Moncton. In the same year, she became assistant director of alumni and development for a period of more than five years.

Her first management experience was in the arts when she became the founding executive director of the Association acadienne des artistes professionnel.le.s du Nouveau-Brunswick (AAAPNB). In 2000, she founded her own consulting business and then, with three other partners, created the business Productions KLEF where she coordinated the Convention 2004 de la société acadienne du Nouveau-Brunswick.

She has been involved in her community and has served as chair of the Board of Directors of the Dieppe Centre for Arts and Culture, committee member of the Greater Moncton Institute for Canadian Citizenship, member of the Board of Directors of the New Brunswick Arts Board and vice-chair of the Petitcodiac Riverkeeper. She recently completed her term as a member of the City of Dieppe's Planning Advisory Committee.
