Emily Lalancette and Nathaël Roy are UMoncton athletes of the week

Two hockey players, Emily Lalancette of St. Andrews West Ontario and Nathaël Roy of Lévis Québec, are the IRM Moncton MRI athletes of the week from February 6 to 12, 2023 as chosen by the Athletic Department of the Moncton campus of the Université de Moncton.

Forward Emily Lalancette outdid herself in both Aigles Bleues women's hockey games. She was chosen the first star and Subway player of the game in her team’s victory against the STU Tommies last Wednesday. She scored the game-winning goal of that game and added an assist in the Friday matchup. She is a 5^th year student in physical education.

Nathaël Roy scored a goal and took 7 shots in the two men's hockey games of the week. He finished18^th in the AUS scoring derby with 24 points (10 goals-10 assists) in 30 games. He has 2 game-winning goals and 5 power-play goals on 92 shots. He is a second-year mechanical engineering student.
