Université de Moncton Launches 2023-2028 Strategy

Under the theme Setting Course for the Future, the Université de Moncton officially launched its new Strategy which will act as a guide to better position the Université on the national level and within the Francophonie.

“The Board of Governors is proud of the direction of the Strategy and the transparency and synergy present throughout the process,” said Chair Denis Mallet. “We have great strengths across our three campuses, and I believe it’s time to bring these strengths and this collective creativity to fruition for the Université to contribute to the development and vitality of our communities.”

Through this Strategy, the main targets to be reached by 2028 will be to increase the attractiveness of the Université de Moncton and to act as a catalyst for the transformation of New Brunswick, Acadie and the Francophonie.

“We are proud of the contributions of the members of our university and civic community to the process that led to the development of our Strategy,” said President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Denis Prud'homme. “By working together, we will continue to make the Université de Moncton the leading institution in Acadie in the advancement of knowledge related to the major issues of today and tomorrow and, consequently, the first choice for people wishing to study in French.”

To put this Strategy into action, five main projects must be undertaken:

Living Environment: A healthy, stimulating, and caring living environment

Talent: The promotion of talent within the network

Teaching and RDC: A distinctive university education and growth in the research-development-creation sector

Communities: The Université anchored more than ever in its communities

Organizational Leadership: Organizational and decision-making excellence

The five-year plan is intended to be implemented immediately, focusing on priorities to be realized over a ten-year period, with sequencing to be established and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
