Aigles Bleues in Halifax for 2 games

The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (10-12-0-0=20pts, 6th position) have the chance to confirm their presence in the end-of-season playoffs this weekend with two road wins in Nova Scotia in Atlantic University Sport women's hockey action.

The team will be in Halifax for these games, facing the Saint Mary's University Huskies (13-8-1-0=27pts, 4th position) on Friday and the Dalhousie University Tigers (10-8-1-4=25pts, 5th position) on Saturday, both games at 7 p.m. The Huskies are already confirmed for the playoffs.

Moncton has a 6-point lead over the St. Thomas University Tommies in7th place with 6 games left in the regular schedule. The top six teams in the standings qualify for the playoffs. Moncton is 5 points behind the Tigers.

Each weekend brings its challenges to Marc-André Côté's team. However, the Aigles have stood out in their last 10 games. Moncton has now scored 56 goals and allowed 46, a +10 difference in 22 games.

“We need to play a full 60 minutes and avoid easing off,” said coach Marc-André Côté. “These are two teams with whom we have had great games this year. We will take them one at a time. These two teams never give up, hence the importance for us to always be alert.”

All players are available to play on the weekend.
