Having lost their last 9 games, the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus travel to Nova Scotia again this weekend for two Atlantic University Sport men's hockey games.

Derek Cormier's team (10-13-1-0=21pts, 5th position) will be in Halifax on Friday to face the Dalhousie University Tigers (5-16-1-1=14pts, 7th position). On Saturday, the St. Francis Xavier University X-Men (11-12-1-0=23pts, 4th place) will host the Aigles in Antigonish, both games at 7 p.m.

According to forward Nathaël Roy “The 9 losses play in our heads, but we focus on the future. We want to prepare for the playoffs and take that one day at a time. We didn't get the results we wanted, we worked the right way and we're working hard for this weekend. I'd like to bring a little more personally to the team. Defensively and offensively, we made small changes to have sparks. Good things will happen this weekend with two wins.”

“We have 6 games left and everything is going fast,” added coach Derek Cormier. “We're getting ready for Friday's game, and we'll see from there. The team’s atmosphere is good, and we need wins in line. The figure of 9 is scary, but we are aware of the situation. We've beaten every team in the league and we know what to do. The team wants to prepare well for the playoffs and play a full 60 minutes.”

The Blue and Gold have only six games left on the regular schedule and are looking to secure their spot in the season-ending playoffs.
