Hockey: Aigles Bleues to host X-Women
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (8-11-0-0=16pts, 6th position) will host Tuesday evening the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women (13-3-1-1=28pts, 2nd position) at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in an Atlantic University Sport women's hockey game.
The game was scheduled to be played on Sunday, but was postponed due to poor road conditions.
The task will not be easy for Marc-André Côté's troupe who will face the second-best team in the conference. The X-Women have scored 69 goals and allowed 36 in 18 games compared to 46 and 39 for Moncton in 19 games.
“It's a good challenge ahead of us,” said coach Marc-André Côté. “The X-Women have a well-balanced team, and it will be a good test for us. We are ready after our Friday victory, and it is the way we found to win that will help us for this game.”
The public is invited to the game.
