Annie Clarke and Damien Canal are UMoncton's Athletes of the Week
Athletes Annie Clarke of Miramichi and Damien Canal of France are the IRM Moncton MRI Athletes of the Week for October 24-30, 2022 as selected by the Physical Activity and Sports Department of the Moncton Campus of the University of Moncton.
In her first season on the Cross-country team with the Aigles Bleues, Annie Clark has improved greatly throughout the season. She had a great run in the SUA Championship by surpassing her personal best times by 3 minutes which allowed her to finish in 9th position among the rookies that allowed the Aigles Bleues to finish in 5th place. Annie Clarke is a first-year Bachelor of Science (Nutrition) student with residency.
In his first season with the Men's Cross-country team, Damien Canal also stood out at the AUS Championships by finishing 27th overall. He was the best finisher for les Aigles with his best time of the season in a very demanding course; he led the team to their best performance of the year. Damien is in 1st year in the Master of Business Administration M.B.A.
