Women’s hockey: Aigles Bleues host Tommies on Saturday
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (1-1-1) will host the St. Thomas University Tommies on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in the fourth and final preseason women's hockey game in preview of the 2022-2023 Atlantic University Sport season.
It is the return game following the 2-1 victory of Marc-André Côté's troupe Wednesday in Fredericton between these same two teams.
“We took a good step forward on Wednesday and I hope we can continue in this wave,” said Marc-André Côté. “We exercised pressure on their defenders and that helped us. However, we need to fine-tune some aspects of our game, especially when it comes to faceoffs and offensive strategies.”
The Aigles Bleues regular season kicks off on Friday, Oct. 7 when the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers will be the visitors at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.
