Nancy L. Black Named Interim Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
Nancy L. Black has been appointed Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Université de Moncton for a six-month term effective July 1, 2022. This appointment follows that of Associate Dean Gérard J. Poitras, who was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
Dr. Black has been a professor at the Université de Moncton since January 1994 and an associate professor since 2008. She holds a PhD in mechanical engineering (2001 - University of New Brunswick), a master’s in industrial engineering (1994 - Dalhousie University) and a bachelor’s in systems design (1989 - University of Waterloo).
Dr. Black is committed to student success and is involved in the learned societies of her discipline. Her research interests revolve around ergonomics, musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), biomechanics and motion analysis of the human upper limb, work studies, and work adaptations for people with disabilities.
The process to fill the position of Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering will begin in the coming weeks.
