Women's volleyball: The Aigles Bleues meet the Reds on Thursday
Anything can happen in a single game series and the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues intend to take advantage of it by facing the University of New Brunswick Reds in an Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball game.
The young blue and gold troupe (3-10=6pts, 5th position) faces Thursday in Fredericton the Reds (8-6=16pts, 4th position) in this quarterfinal game. The winning team will continue to the semi-finals.
“We've been preparing for this important game since Sunday,” said coach Joline Richard. “The players are excited about this chance to participate in the playoffs. I'm predicting a good game and even though the Reds won during the season, it's a new season with new energy.”
All players are available for this game. The team had to cancel two games due to a COVID-19 outbreak among some players two weeks ago. Even though the team couldn't win its last game on Sunday, there was a progression in each set. Only 3 or 4 players were available for training for 10 days.
