Roger Boudreau Appointed Interim Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
Roger Boudreau has been appointed Interim Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Université de Moncton until June 30, 2022.
Dr. Boudreau holds a bachelor’s degree (1980) and a master’s degree (1984) in Mechanical Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UNB (1992). After working as a project engineer at the Gulf Canada refinery in Montreal for six years, he began his career at the Université de Moncton in 1986 as a professor of industrial and mechanical engineering.
Dr. Boudreau was promoted to full professor in 1998. He has served as Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering for several years, has extensive research experience, and has actively contributed to university affairs by participating in numerous internal and external committees of the Université de Moncton.
Dr. Boudreau's contributions have been recognized by his students and peers throughout his career. He has been the recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award, a Fellow of Engineers Canada, and a Fellow of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering.
The process to fill the position of Dean of the Faculty of Engineering has begun and is expected to be completed by July 1, 2022.
