64 athletes from the Moncton campus on the U SPORTS All-Canadian Honor Roll

The Université de Moncton-Moncton campus Athletic Department is pleased to recognize its 64 student/athletes named to the U SPORTS All-Canadian honour roll for their 2020–2021-year academic achievements.

“I congratulate these student/athletes on their nomination to the U SPORTS All-Canadian honour roll for the 2020-2021 academic and sports year,” said President and Vice Chancellor Dr. Denis Prud'homme. “Be proud to have known how to represent your institution well in addition to successfully completing your studies while participating in training and sports sessions.”

“I offer my congratulations to these student/athletes for their dedication and managing very well in their studies while devoting themselves to their sport,” added Martine LeBlanc, interim athletic director. “You know how to choose your priorities and push your limits.”

These athletes maintained an academic average of 3.7 or higher during the academic year. The women's volleyball 5 athletes nominated are Joanie Arsenault (Tracadie; education), Maude Beaudin (Allardville; kinesiology), Noémie Brideau (Ammon; education), Eliza Druart (Gallagher Ridge; visual arts) and Abigail Pallister (Moncton; criminology).

The 12 women's hockey athletes are Isadora Quirion (Beauce; kinesiology), Janie Poitras (Saint-André; education), Stéphanie Péladeau (Ottawa; administration), Aude Massé (Val d'Or; administration), Émilie Lalancette (St-Andrews West; education), Pascale Lebeau (Louiseville; science), Marika Gagnon (Embrun; psychology), Mélika Florent (Rockland; kinesiology), Alexia Desforges (Clarence-Rockland; kinesiology), Cassandra Call (Navan; education), Audrey Berthiaume (St-Bruno; psychology) and Catherine Longchamp (Airdrie; education).

In men's hockey, the 11 athletes are Mika Cyr (Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska; education), Olivier Desjardins (Drummondville; education), Vincent Deslauriers (Blainville; masters administration), Alexandre Jacob (Dieppe; recreation management); Dorian Laganière (Granby; DSS), Yann-Félix Lapointe (Granby; education), Justin Miron (Mirabel; kinesiology), Joey Richard (Dieppe; administration), Émile Samson (Lévis; administration), Denis Toner (Saint-André-de-Madawaska; administration) and Gabriel Vanier (Boisbriand; BA multi).

In men's soccer, there are 10 including Maxime Bertrand (Truro; administration), Max Gino Boudreau (Port-au-Prince; engineering), Ryan Breau (Moncton; DSS), Gaël Cousin (Héric; BA-History), Jérémie Imbeault (Moncton; social work), Nikolas Landry (Dieppe; BA-psychology), Abraham Lavin (Moncton; DSS), Félix Robichaud (Tracadie; education), Thomas Maillet (Moncton; biochemistry) and Pascal Sonier (North Tétagouche; engineering).

In women's soccer, the 7 honorees are Louise Aucoin, (Chéticamp; DSS), Mia Brideau (Dieppe; x-ray techniques), Alexandra Duguay (Shippagan; juris), Julie Gaudet (Dieppe; kinesiology), Marilou Larocque (Sainte-Marie-Saint-Raphaël; psychology), Vanessa Lebrun (Bathurst; education) and Mélodie Saulnier (Dieppe; DSS).

In men's and women’s track and field, there are 8 including Samuel Bourque (Notre-Dame; administration), Gabriel Gagné (Moncton; education), Caroline Gagnon (Moncton; DSS), Martine Haché (Miramichi; nursing), Kyla Hughes (Cocagne; kinesiology), Joëlle Léger (Dieppe; psychology), Mia Schofield (Miramichi; biochemistry) and Sharon Ngongo (Moncton; nutrition).

In cross-country and men's athletics, we find 6 athletes: Yannick Boudreau (Dieppe; biology), Vincent Leclair (Balmoral; education), Alain Lavoie (Grand Falls; education), Jonathan Roy (Beresford; criminology), Jérémie Gervais (Dieppe; biochemistry) and Zacharie Cormier (Moncton; administration).

In cross country and women's athletics, there are 3: Sophie Black (Dieppe; nutrition), Isabella Lemaire (Dieppe; DSS) and Elisabeth Vigneau (Moncton; business). In women's soccer and athletics, we find 2: Natalie Fleming (Moncton; health master's degree) and Zoé Brockbank (Grande-Digue; education).
