The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (4-5-0-1=9pts,5th position) will play two weekend games in Atlantic University Sport women's hockey action.

The Blue and Gold will be on the road Saturday in Charlottetown to face the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers (6-2-0-2=14pts,4th position). Sunday at the UNIplex Centre in Dieppe, the Saint Mary's University Huskies (8-1-1-0=15pts, 1st position) will be the opponents, both games at 3 p.m.

"The Panthers are directly in front of us, and we want to get closer with the two points," said coach Marc-André Côté. “We will play our game and I hope that our special units will be more effective. It will not be easy against the Panthers who are hosting the national championship at the end of the season. We have fine-tuned some details this week during training, and we must be consistent and have good habits. We face the first-place team on Sunday, and we aim to cause a surprise in front of our fans in Dieppe.”

“The aim is to come out with at least three points,” added forward Isadora Quirion. “We are capable of a win against the Panthers as they are right in front of us, and we have already played against the Huskies and have proven that we can compete against them. We must play in a consistent way and present ourselves mentally and physically for both games. Playing in Dieppe won't be the same as our nest, but we can't wait to play in front of our fans in that building. »

People will be able to attend Sunday's game at the UNIplex Centre. Tickets will be available on site prior to the game. Mandatory face mask and proof of double vaccination and a government-issued ID card will be required.
