Following two consecutive losses in their last outings, the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (2-4-0=4pts,6th position) intend to break this trend by playing two home games in Atlantic University Sport women's hockey at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena this weekend.

The Blue and Gold will host the Saint Mary's University Huskies (4-1-1=9pts,3rd position) on Friday and the Dalhousie University Tigers (1-4-0=3pts, 7th position) on Saturday, both games at 7 p.m.

According to coach Marc-André Côté, "we want to protect the nest and play well at home. We are facing two good opponents and we should play two good games. We practiced our special units that hurt us during the last games with an ordinary performance. We played very well 5 against 5. We placed the focus on this during training to be better at the end of the week. We like to play in front of our fans, it's nice. We are lucky that we play several games at home before Christmas, and we want to take advantage of it.”

Defensemen Émilie Lalancette said both games are of great importance to the players. “We want to play our game and it doesn't bother which team we're facing,” she said. “We want to play on our terms, work on our systems and win in our house before going to play in the park. The games will be intense, and we want to motivate each other. We have to play as a unit, be pushed, and we aim to gain four points to climb in the standings.”

Defender Catherine Longchamp will miss both games.

Spectators will be admitted for both games. However, face mask is mandatory throughout the arena, except when actively eating or drinking. It will also be necessary to show proof of double vaccination and a government-issued ID card before entering the arena.
