Natalie Fleming and George Musitu are UdeM athletes of the week
Natalie Fleming, of Moncton, New Brunswick and George Musitu, of Ottawa, Ontario, are the athletes of the week for September 20 to 26 as chosen by the Université de Moncton athletic department, Moncton campus.
Against two top AUS teams,
fifth-year player Natalie Fleming played well on Friday against Acadia Axewomen, was
efficient in her role as team captain and was supportive to her teammates Saturday against
the Dalhousie Tigers. The team was winless in two games in women's soccer, but her
leadership helped the Aigles Bleues battle in each game until the last minute. She is
masters’ student in health research.
First year George Musitu scored three goals in the Aigles Bleus first win of the men’s soccer season against Acadia Axemen on Friday. He was also very effective in the Saturday tie game with the Dalhousie Tigers. His dribbles and speed on the field enabled his team to open space on the field to support offensive plays. He took two shots on Saturday in 69 minutes of play and five on Friday in 90 minutes. He is a first-year bachelor of administration-multi student.
