Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus will play there first two exhibition games this weekend in Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey action.

The Judes Vallée coached team travels to Halifax to face the Saint Mary's University Huskies on Saturday at 2 p.m. On Sunday, the University of New Brunswick Reds will be at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena at 3 p.m. for a duel with the Blue and Gold.

"We've been training for two weeks and we're working on structures, both offensive and defensive," said coach Judes Vallée. “We want to see the reaction of our new players during a game. Several forwards are nursing injuries and Mika Cyr will be absent and possibly Remy Englehart. It will be an opportunity for others to shine. We will look for intensity, forechecking and apply pressure.”

“We worked our plays in all three zones and with our special units. We want to see how our rookies’ will react in a game situation. It's not just the result that will count, but the way we play. We have 24 players in the lineup with 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders and 13 forwards. There are 14 players out of 24 who have not played a match in the AUS. Everyone is happy, it's been a long time since they played a game. We're excited and we're going to work hard. »

Returning veteran players include goaltender Étienne Montpetit, captain Vincent Deslauriers, defensemen Francis Thibeault, Olivier Desjardins, Alexandre Bernier and Vincent Lanoue and forwards Vincent Millette, Gabriel Vanier and Wilson Forest.

Spectators are welcome to the game on Sunday, but they must wear a face mask.
