Volleyball: Charlie Benoit will join the Aigles Bleues
Joline Richard, head coach of the Université de Moncton women’s volleyball team, is happy to announce that Charlie Benoit, from Saumarez, will join her team for the 2021-2022 Atlantic University Sport volleyball season.
The 18-year-old athlete measure 5’11’’ and will study in the nursing program at the Moncton campus.
“I have always enjoyed playing volleyball. The sport is an important part of my life,” stated Charlie Benoit. “It is very central and close to my heart to study in French. Blocking and attacking are my strengths on the court.”
Playing the highest possible calibre of volleyball and having new challenges are important for Benoit. “I am looking to push myself. I have been playing for 10 years and I know personally a number of Aigles Bleues players. I hope to improve my defensive play in the coming year.”
“I am happy that Charlie decided to join pour team,” stated Joline Richard. “Her size and her play at the net will be beneficial to our team.”
