Rendez-vous avec les Aigles Race
The public is invited to take part in the Rendez-vous avec les Aigles virtual race during the May 14 to 16 weekend.
The race will be held from midnight on Friday the 14th until 4 p.m. on Sunday the 16th. The objective is to promote physical activity during these pandemic times. Participants need to register online.
This 5 km race can be done in several ways (run, cycle, wheelchair, roller blade or walk). Participants may do it at their leisure during the specified hours. They can then send their results to Yannick Boudreau (506-232-8624 or yannick.boudreau@nbed.nb.ca) or Sophie Black (506-227-9083 or black.sophie08@gmail.com).
No winners will be declared, no medals will be distributed and there are no categories. There will be several participant prizes drawn after the race results are in to encourage maximum participation.
This virtual race is a fundraiser for the Moncton campus cross-country and track and field teams. Funds will be used to purchase equipment, pay for competitions and other activities.
A virtual Zoom banquet will be held on the Sunday, May 16 beginning at 4:30 p.m. to recognize sponsors, announce the draw winners and give participants the chance to meet one another.
