Exposition annuelle des finissantes en arts visuels 2020 (Annual Exhibition of 2020 Visual Arts Graduates)
Due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the Department of Visual Arts is offering the graduates’ exhibit JAMAIS UNE SANS L’AUTRE in a virtual version. Bringing together the work of Savannah Beaupré and Kimberly Vallillee, the exhibition offers works in printmaking, photography and digital art from their artistic approaches undertaken during their studies.
Kimberly Vallillee "explores identity through personal interactions with her models. The resulting images are reflections on the personal, the family, gender and the self while being linked to feminism. This common thread helps her question and criticize the rights, the body and the representation of women in our western society. It is with the photographic image that she creates different views and strategies relating to the past and present feminist identity movement."
Savannah Beaupré’s work "focuses on her family values and her identity. Working mainly with family photographs and memories of her childhood, her exhibition project explores her family ties, her hometown, her family home and her attachment to them."
The graduation exhibition will be online until August 30, 2020.
