Four Aigles Bleus players honoured

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus team captain, Vincent Deslauriers, from Blainville, Quebec, is the Atlantic University Sport most sportsmanlike player for the 2019–2020 season.

In his third season with the Aigles Bleus, forward Vincent Deslauriers has been chosen as the recipient of the Don Wells Trophy. A business administration student, Deslauriers is the third player from a Moncton team to be named the conference’s most sportsmanlike player and the first since the 2011-12 season. Deslauriers becomes the Atlantic Conference nominee for the U SPORTS R. W. Pugh Award.

Three other members of the team were also honoured on the AUS all-star teams. They are forward Maxime St-Cyr, of Saint-Didace, first all-star team; goaltender Étienne Montpetit, from Valleyfield, second all-star team; and defencemen Francis Thibeault, of Val d’Amour, on the rookie all-star team.

Vincent Deslauriers — 26th AUS scoring; 28gp-9g-15a=24pts ; 106 shots.

Maxime St-Cyr — 4th AUS scoring, 30gp-20g-20a=40pts; 8-power play goals; 2-winning goals; 155 shots (1st AUS) and one hat trick.

Étienne Montpetit – 4th goaltenders; 29gp-86 goals allowed; average goals per game 3.04; 835 shots and save percentage of .907; 13 wins, 16 losses.

Francis Thibeault — 21st among defencemen; 1g-8a=9pts; 125 shots.
