The last regular season women volleyball game of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues will be the last for fifth-year player Pascale Doiron who will end her many years of high calibre play.

The Aigles Bleues (4-15=8 points, 5th position) travel to Fredericton, Saturday to meet the University of New Brunswick Reds (11-8=22 points, 4th position) in their 20th Atlantic University Sport game of the season. It will be the last for the Aigles Bleues as they have not qualified for the playoffs. Only the top four teams advance.

“I am excited, and I know it will be a very good game,” said Pascale Doiron. “After five years, I know this is the end. I play with a very good team, and it will be interesting. I have lived growing experiences, and I have become a better person because of them. I am happy with what I have accomplished. I am a very different person from the one I was five years ago, and I do not play the same way. I have grown through leadership and I am happy. I am proud of my achievements and the ones of my teammates.”

“Our aim is to finish the season on a better note than we did during our last two games,” said coach Monette Boudreau-Carroll. “We played well against Dalhousie and then, we went sour. We were not in the games and ready for competition. UNB is getting ready for the playoffs, and they will not give us a game. We must arrive determined and ready to play and accept the challenge. I have faith the players will give their all for this last game.”
