Hockey Aigles Bleues play the top two teams

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (2-7-1=5 points, 7th position) visit the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers (8-2-0=16 points, 2nd position) on Saturday in Charlottetown and will host the Saint Mary’s University Huskies (9-1-0=18 points, 1re position), Sunday at 3p.m. in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action.

The Moncton team plays the top two AUS teams. The Aigles lost their last four games and the Panthers won their last two and the Huskies, their last four. The top-two offensive teams will meet Moncton as they have scored 34 and 31 goals respectively in 10 games.

“We worked with intensity this week on our defensive play and our scoring abilities,” stated Moncton coach Marc-André Côté. “We have a nice challenge this weekend against the top two teams. We aim to surprise and win a game. We have completed one third of our regular schedule and play in the league is very close.”

Mélodie Arsenault will be in nets on Saturday and Audrey Berthiaume, on Sunday.
