Sophie Black at U SPORTS cross country championships

Université de Moncton runner Sophie Black will be on the starting line, on Sunday, at the U SPORTS cross country championships being held at Kingston’s Queen’s University, in Ontario.

Black, from Dieppe, had finished in 19^th spot at the Atlantic University Sport championships two weeks ago in a time of 32:40. This will be her second consecutive year at the national university championships.

“Sophie’s goal is for a top 100 finish,” stated her coach Steve LeBlanc. “She had a 155^th placing last year. She also is looking to finish top 14 amongst AUS athletes.”
