Highlights of the September 28 meeting of the Board of Governors

Renewal of terms on the Board of Governors
The Board approved a three-year renewal of the term of Edith Doucet as chair of the Board of Governors and of Samuel LeBreton as member residing outside the areas of the northwestern, northeastern and southeastern New Brunswick.

Collaboration with Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick
A collaboration between Université de Moncton and Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) has led to the creation of a new Biotechnology degree program.
An articulated program, the first two years are offered through the laboratory and biotechnology techniques program at CCNB’s Edmundston campus. The Moncton campus of Université de Moncton will offer the last two years of the program.
The Biotechnology degree program aims to provide the student with academic and professional training in the field of biotechnology. The emphasis is placed on mastering techniques and knowledge applicable to the various areas of biotechnology.

The report presented by the Interim President and Vice-Chancellor to the Board of Governors at the meeting keeps the public informed about the main issues, news and achievements of Université de Moncton between May 26, 2019, and September 18, 2019.
