Aigles Bleus to host Panthers on Saturday
Moncton lost the first game, 3-2 in overtime on Thursday in Charlottetown and the Judes Vallée coached team has no choice to win if it wants to continue in the playoffs.
“We play better at home and the game will be different,” the Aigles Bleus coach Judes Vallée said. “I am confident the team will bounce back. We worked to remedy some of our Thursday errors. The whole team is well aware of the importance of the game and we will win it.”
“We worked hard on Thursday, but we need to work smarter,” veteran defenseman Danick Emond said. “The team must go to the net more often and remain there. We need to pay attention to the small details. Defensively, the whole team must play better and not offer the Panthers turnarounds. We are confident.”
Robbie Graham is not interested in playing his last game of the season. “We did play a good game on Thursday and we lost in overtime,” said Graham. “We worked on our Thursday errors in the Friday practice. The fact we have our back to the wall does not put added pressure on us. We have a good chance of winning and I believe in this team. I predict a close game, but we will produce more scoring chances.”
University hockey fans may purchase tickets for the Saturday game at the CEPS reception during normal operating hours. They will also be available at the arena box office one hour prior to the game on Saturday.
