The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (11-9-3=25 points, 4th position) will host the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers (11-8-2=24 points, 5th position) at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena on Saturday at 7 p.m. in an Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey game.

“This is an important game and following our big Wednesday's loss, we need to focus together and find a way to win,” defenceman Justin Guénette said. “We need to work harder right off the first whistle. We left our goaltenders to themselves on Wednesday, and we cannot repeat that. We only have four more scheduled home games. Our individual readiness before games needs an overhaul so we can play three good periods.”

Coach Judes Vallée is aware of the importance of two standing points. “The games and the standings are close,” Vallée stated. “I gave the players a day off Thursday following the Wednesday loss and the Friday morning practice is sufficient to get ready for the Panthers. Some players will miss the game because of a suspension or injuries. We will have to play a great defensive game to launch our offensive. We only played one good period in the last six; we need to get back on the rails.”

Maxime St-Cyr (suspended-match penalty on Wednesday) will miss the game as will Marc-Anthony Therrien and Danick Emond (injuries). Moncton has seven games left to play with a 12-point lead over Dalhousie and Acadia. The team could qualify for the playoffs this weekend, depending on the results. Moncton has scored 75 goals and allowed 78 while the University of Prince Edward Island is 72 and 84.
