Volleyball Aigles Bleues Play Final Four First Semester Games

The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (0-5-0=0 point, 6th position) are still in the hunt for a first win this season in Atlantic University Sport (AUS) women’s volleyball action.

The Aigles Bleues travel to Acadia University for the annual end of the first semester AUS tournament for four games in three days. Moncton will play the Dalhousie University Tigers on Friday at 5 p.m.; the Memorial University Sea-Hawks on Saturday at 11 a.m.; the Acadia University Axewomen at 7 p.m. and the Saint Mary’s University Huskies on Sunday at 2 p.m.

“There is no panic on our part, we are missing a few key players,” stated Moncton coach Monette Boudreau-Carroll. “This is the end of the first semester; the effort is present from the players. We are lacking confidence and that is hurting us. We must keep on piling the experience and the road to winning could be long. I am expecting something to click into place soon. We have the elements to win; we must believe we can and find the leadership to survive.”

The Aigles Bleues have not won a single set in 15 this season. Memorial did not win a game. Dalhousie is first in the standings followed by Acadia, UNB, Saint Mary’s, Memorial and Moncton.
