The generous contribution of donors was recognized on the occasion of the investiture and recognition ceremony held on September 21 at Centre des arts de la petite église in Edmundston.

During the ceremony, six organizations were invested into the Order of the Chancellor and two of the organizations achieved a higher rank; one was present for its investiture. The Order of the Chancellor was instituted in 2004 by the Board of Governors to recognize the outstanding financial contributions of associations, religious communities, businesses, foundations and municipalities to Université de Moncton. The name of the Order reflects the role of the chancellor, who represents Université de Moncton in a personal, visible and fundamental manner and symbolizes its function, spirit and unity.

As well, seven people were invested into the Order of Regents. Of them, one achieved a higher rank and six were present for their investiture. The Order of Regents was instituted by the Board of Governors in 1994 to bring together and recognize the contribution of people who provide significant financial contributions to Université de Moncton. The name of the Order reflects the important founding role played by the members of the Office of Regents during the first years of existence of Université de Moncton. The Office of Regents was precursor to the current Board of Governors.

These invaluable donors
In total, these individuals, organizations and businesses committed to donating over $1.1M to Université de Moncton, most of which will be allocated to the campus of Edmundston. These donations contribute to the vitality of the Université and offer tremendous support, especially to students, thus fostering a better student experience.

The annual ceremony of donor recognition and investiture into the Order of Regents and the Order of the Chancellor celebrates the great generosity of donors and the engagement of individuals and organizations that provide invaluable support to students to offer them an unparalleled experience.
