Audrey Berthiaume and Étienne Montpetit are Université de Moncton Athletes of the Week

Rookie hockey goaltenders Audrey Berthiaume, of Saint-Bruno, Québec and Étienne Montpetit, of Valleyfield, Québec, were chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period from October 29 to November 4, 2018, by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Audrey Berthiaume played in her team’s three games last week and registered two wins by shutout for the Aigles Bleues. She faced 99 shots on goal and allowed four goals in nine periods of play. Her numerous saves and her play enabled her team to win two games in a row for the first time this season against higher teams in the standings. It was her third shutout of the season. She was named Subway player of the game. She is a bachelor of psychology student.

The inspiring play of Étienne Montpetit enabled his team to win in a shootout against first-place University of New Brunswick Reds before bowing out to the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers. He handled 64 pucks in two games and made 58 saves. He was named Subway player of the game. He is a bachelor of engineering (civil student) student.
