Myriam Cyr and Marc-Anthony Therrien Are Université de Moncton Athletes of the Week
Myriam Cyr was the fastest of the Aigles Bleues in the 6 km cross-country race held Saturday in Fredericton by the New Brunswick and St. Thomas universities. She registered a time of 27:53, a personal best. It was her first time in this competition at O’Dell Park. She gained confidence and is looking forward to the Moncton campus races on Saturday. She is a bachelor of kinesiology student.
Fourth-year forward, Marc-Anthony Therrien, was the Subway player of the game on Friday evening against the St. Francis Xavier University X-Men, scoring twice in the Aigles Bleus 3-2 win. He took four shots on goal and finished the game at +2. His play was exemplary and motivated his team to the win. It was Moncton’s first home ice win since December 1, 2017. His team was behind twice during the game, and his goals evened the scoring both times. He is a bachelor of physical education-education student.
