Youssef Aboud Named Valedictorian of Graduating Class on Moncton Campus

Youssef Aboud, a native of Lebanon, has been selected by his peers to give the valedictory address at the graduation ceremony on the Moncton campus scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 26, 2018, in the stadium at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud.

Mr. Aboud is completing an applied bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science. He also earned a bachelor of science degree specializing in biochemistry from the Université de Moncton in 2015.

During his time at the Université de Moncton, Mr. Aboud has been the recipient of numerous distinctions, including a certificate in cultural intelligence from the International Passport program at the Université de Moncton (2015) and a certificate of merit from the Faculty of Sciences (2014-2015). He was also awarded a research scholarship in molecular biology in 2014 and a scholarship from the Consortium national de formation en santé for the 2015-2016 academic year.

In addition to his studies, Mr. Aboud volunteered at international student services in 2014 and was a lab demonstrator in General Chemistry I and II during the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 years. He also took part in the 26^th Young Researchers Symposium, an annual event showcasing student research at the Université de Moncton.
