Representatives of the Université de Moncton and the Atlantic Immigration Summit met this past February 26 to explore possibilities for partnering.

“One of the objectives of the Université de Moncton is to embrace an international approach to all of our organizational and educational activities,” stated Acting President and Vice-Chancellor Jacques Paul Couturier. “This made it imperative for us to get involved in this event with a view to sharing our expertise and exploring new opportunities to promote the integration and collaboration of newcomers to our country.” International students account for more than 20% of the student population at the Université de Moncton.

The university plans to send a delegation to the Summit and encourages former students and members of the Francophone business community active in the sector to attend.

Taking place in Moncton on May 23 and 24, 2018, the Immigration Summit will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, representatives of municipalities, educational institutions and immigration settlement organizations, recent newcomers, students, sector experts and members of the public to share information and ideas about immigration, diversity and inclusion.
