Twenty-two U de M athletes at McGill Team Challenge

Université de Moncton women and men’s track and field teams will be in Montreal, Friday and Saturday, for the annual McGill Team Challenge, a meet that attracts top university track and field athletes from Eastern Canada.

“This is possibly our best team ever at the McGill Challenge,” Aigles coach Steve LeBlanc said. “I expect a number of personal bests and university records to be established by our 22 athletes.”

The women Aigles Bleues attending will be Constance Gilman, Rachelle Haché, Monika LeBlanc, Jessika LePage, Isabelle Morris, Sharon Ngongo, Lisa Richard, Tiffany Rinuitt, December Sampson and Mia Schofield.

The men competing for Université de Moncton will be Jean-Luc Bastarache, Nassim Bousmaha, Alexandre David, Shayne Dobson, Alain Doucet, Rémy Goguen, Julien Léger, Frédéric Losier, Christian Richard, Samuel Robichaud, Bryan Thomas and Emmanuel Zangio.

A few South East Athletics members will also participate in open competition, including sprinters Jordan Henri and Mickyle Welsh. Chris Robertson will compete in the heptathlon. Joëlle Léger, Magkda Mekonnen and Sophie Black will also be in attendance.
