Highlights of the Board of Governors meeting of December 9, 2017

Adoption of a Code of Conduct and Policy on sexual violence

The right to a respectful, healthy and safe environment in which to work and study is a priority for the Université de Moncton.

We have adopted a new Policy on sexual violence as part of our efforts to better meet current needs to combat all forms of sexual violence. The policy was adopted with minor amendments having to do with the review period and the name of the Université de Moncton. The Code of Conduct is in response to the expectations of the university community, which wanted better guidelines for filing and managing complaints.

“The adoption of a new Policy on sexual violence and a Code of Conduct that calls for the establishment of a commissioner position are important actions in our efforts to protect members of the university community,” said President and Vice-Chancellor Raymond Théberge,

The Code of Conduct and Policy on sexual violence are available online.
