Hockey Aigles Bleues to face Mounties in Sackville
Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (5-5-2=12 points, 5th place) travel to Sackville, on Wednesday at 7 p.m., for a matchup with Mount Allison University (1-8-2=4 points, 7th position) in an Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey game.“The Mounties did win the last game on our home turf, and this game should also be exciting,” said Moncton coach Denis Ross. “We are 1-1 in the series, and we always play close games. We need the two standing points and to play 60 minutes. This is an important game for us because we are not interested in losing ground to the top teams and dig deeper in the standings.”
Gabrielle Forget will be the goaltender for the Bleu et Or. “We need to step up our game following three losses in a row,” added Forget. “We need to concentrate on the small details. All players need to get their confidence back. I will do the key saves to keep my team in the game.”
